Gautum Buddha was sitting under a banyan tree. One day, a furious Brahmin came to him and started abusing him. The Brahmin thought that Gautum Buddha would reciprocate in the same manner, but to his utter surprise, there was not the slightest change in the expression on his face.
Now, the Brahmin became more furious. He hurled more and more abuses at Buddha. However, Gautum Buddha was completely unmoved. Actually there was a look of compassion on his face. Ultimately the Brahmin was tired of abusing him. He asked, "I have been abusing you like anything, but why are you not angry at all ?"
Gautum Buddha calmly replied, "My dear brother, I have not accepted a single abuse from you."
"But you heard all of them, didn't you?" The Brahmin argued half-heartedly.
Buddha said, "I do not need the abuses, so why should I even hear them?"
Now the Brahmin was even more puzzled. He could not understand the calm reply from Gautum Buddha.
Looking at his disturbed face, Buddha further explained, "All those abuses remain with you."
"It cannot be possible. I have hurled all of them at you," the Brahmin persisted.
Buddha calmly repeated his reply, "But I have not accepted even a single abuse from you ! Dear brother, suppose you give some coins to somebody, and if he does not accept them, with whom will those coins remain?"
The Brahmin replied, "If I have given the coins and not needed by someone, then naturally they would remain with me."
With a meaningful smile on his face, Buddha said, "Now you are right. The same has happened with your abuses. You came here and hurled abuses at me, but I have not accepted a single abuse from you. Hence, all those abuses remain with you only. So there is no reason to be angry with you."
The Brahmin remained speechless. He was ashamed of his behavior and begged for Buddha's forgiveness.
Lesson to Learn from This Story:
Inner calmness and peace are keys to contented life. My Advice is Live life as per your goals and ambition in life. You know who you are and what you want in life, So dont respond to what person said about you in anger. Control your anger with patience and calmness. That is biggest Strength of Wise men.

How you can qualify CA, some basic Tips by CA.ViVeK M ACA
Dear Friends,
The body require good food to remain healthy like wise human brain require good and positive thought to be positive and achieve the success. Brain work just like a computer system. Input…>process…>outlook
Burning desire
What is this implies? To become a chartered Accountant must be burn inside you.
It is a strong desire to achieve the ultimate goal. Even if you weak but have a strong desire to become a CA, and trying too hard for your mission, you may some time may be failing but will reach the ultimate aim.
In sum, an average student c an also become a CA provided he do posses the burning desire.
This is a serious outlook of you for your ultimate goal. Even if you posses all the qualities to become a good chartered Accountant will not be fruitful unless you don’t have a strong and firm desire for your ultimate goal.
But cultivating this desire is too difficult but once you had generated such desire then it will sustain over a period of time.
Rising according to the opportunity.
If the opportunity with you is challenging to achieve, you need to feed a positive feed back to the brain and the necessity to rise according to the opportunity at hand.
In this context, I do suggest the mantra of sree sankara “be cautious and always cautious” even if when you sleep. So start now the mantra
If you cautious, will pay more attention to the study aspect, finding the ways for your improvement of inherent skills and talent.
Never ever feel that you are perfect and complete, try room for further improvement.
The opportunity is so challenging here and raises 10 steps ahead, dare to be different from others, try to find the ways for future improvement so that no ICAI people can stop you for qualifying the CA course.
Total and complete involvement in studies
If you have good interest in studies, you can make the toughest paper to be easy.
But never give a negative feed to your brain that the subject is too difficult and require some specialized coaching for getting through the subject. Once you give such feed back to brain, my dear friends please be understand that you are 10 steps behind and there is no difference between you and the remaining students.
Whatever not possible today will be possible for tomorrow but it require time.
If you have a positive outlook and understanding the basic and concepts, then, my dear friends you can do own your own with out depends on the coaching or tuition.
Mostly the students were neglect the basic and concepts, they giving the false feed to the brain that these elements are already learn and I know it well.
Trying hard for expert level, attending the coaching and tuition and trying to inject the so called basic and concept but May fails in front of a surprise and practical questions of ICAI.
Nothing is impossible provided you have time to adhered to the basic and concept and have a good mind for doing hard work.

Overcoming the fear of Chartered Accountancy Exams and its Results
Hi Friend’s after your huge appreciation and motivation for ma first article on “ Mindset to become a Chartered Accountant” here I’m with another article of mine on “Overcoming the fear of Chartered Accountancy Exams and its Results”. Thanx a lot all of you for encouraging me to write more.
As you all know Chartered Accountancy exams are considered to be tough. But if u personally ask urself u’ll say that it’s not impossible to clear it. I’m saying this with belief coz had it been impossible we would all not had joined this course. Isn’t it ?? Our joining this course ensures that we all think we have it in us to clear the CA exams. So why is the fear for Chartered Accountancy Exams and the fear for Results ?? How to overcome the fear ? My article is specially focused on how to overcome the fear of exams and results. The results will out very soon so thought this is the appropriate time to write about this.
Some of the ways by which we can avoid the fear of Chartered Accountancy Exams and Results –
· The Mantra – I will clear CA Exams – Keep saying this to urself the mantra “I will clear CA exams” . One of ma friend’s suggested to me after reading my previous article in his comment that “I WILL” has a stronger force than “ I CAN” very true isn’t it ?? Thanx a lot to him for his suggestion. so let us all say this Mantra within ourself “ I WILL CLEAR CA EXAMS” during our preparations and while heading towards the examination hall. This will imbibe positive energy in you. Having said that one should never be complacent and over- confident this mantra will just ensure flow of positive energy within us but has to be combined with tremendous amount of hard work. It’s only the hardwork with a positive attitude that will esnure one to qualify as a “ Chartered Accountant”. Mere hard work wid low self belief or mere attitude wid no hard work is going to land us no where. So guys be confident and keep saying this mantra to urself “ I’ll clear CA Exams” combined with absolute dedication and hardwork and see success coming ur way soon ensuring one becomes a “ Chartered Accountant” soon.
· Announce urself - The fear of exams is one of the reasons for the low performance of students in CA exams. Just before the exam dates one starts feeling the anxiety and fear. Why is that so ? The anxiety of exams is obvious in any exam but why the fear ? Believe urself once you are through with ur part that is hard work. Once u have done the required hardwork don’t fear the exams. Tell urself if not to the world “ Tell exams that ur coming wid a positive intent rather than saying ohhhhhhhh exams are coming near” . This is what I call “ Announcing urself” to the exams.
· Believe in ur Preparations Immediately before the exams - Many students under perform not because they haven’t worked hard or prepared well jus because they don’t believe themselves and their preparations. I’ll jus say that immediately before the exams jus have this feeling in u that u have done ur required hardwork and ur hardwork is good enough to clear the CA exams. Jus have that belief and intent while going to the examination hall to write ur exam. This will certainly help u to overcome the exam anxiety even though not fully and u’ll be able to deliver much better in exam. Also have this mind-set immediately before the exam that what ever u have prepared is sufficient to clear the exams. As immediately before the exams u won’t have time to add new topics and learn new topics this will unnecessarily add burden and tension. All this learning and adding new topics should stop atleast 3 weeks before exam. Go with a positive mindset to write the exams thinking u have prepared well for it.
· “NOW” is the Right Time – There are many students who have this question in their mind – when is the appropriate time to study ?? The answer is not 3 months back or one week after.The real time to start studying is “ NOW”. As one doesn’t have a time machine to go 3 months back and there is no point regretting loss of time and why wait for a week to start ?? “NOW” yes this is the right time to start. “Earlier the Better” one need not waste any further time.
· Have that urge to be called as a “CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT” – I have already mentioned this point in ma previous article but its worth mentioning here again. One should have that all urge to be called as a “ CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT” one day it will feel good. Jus imagine urself calling , after prefixing the word “ Chartered Accountant before ur name” . Do it within urself . Call urself “Chartered Accountant followed by ur name” within urself and see how it feels . Imagine the world calling u like this one day once u qualify. Wowwwww is the feeling isn’t it ?? It may do wonders to ur confidence and will be a source of motivation and inspiration. Try doing it, trust me this will motivate u like anything.
· “Tough times never last but tough people do” - We all are professionals so ups and downs in our life are inevitable be it personal or professional life . But always remember one thing “ After every fall there will be a rise again” have that faith within. One should know how to keep the spirits high even during tough times that’s possible only if u have a positive mindframe. Always remember that “ Tough times never last but tough people do”.
· Accept Failure Enjoy Success - I have always believed that there is no substitute for hard work and that’s the only thing under our control. Things like difficulty level of paper, destiny, result are not to be bothered as its beyond ones control. Do the required hardwork u’ll create ur own destiny, results will be favourable and any paper will start looking easy. Now it’s the time for results in another few days I have always believed that one should not worry about it. One should always ask prior to results to self “ Have I done the required hard work for the exams ??”. If the answer is yes don’t worry about the results be it positive or negative. In case its positive thank urself first and then ur family,teachers,stars etc for ur success. If its negative even though u worked hard don’t worry assess urself and find out the reasons what went wrong work on those reasons and try even more harder. Ur hard work will pay soon and u’ll be successful soon. In case if u haven’t done the hard work at all don’t waste ur time worrying. Never regret about the past as u can’t go back and change ur past. “But Learn from ur past and make amends in the present to make ur future beautiful” . Start “NOW” yeah this is the appropriate time. Enjoy ur success and Accept failure by learning from it and not by regretting about it.
In few days results will be out let us jus face it whatever result comes our way. One should learn from it whatever the situation is and let us all always ensure that we are working towards a bright future by making our present count.

How to prepare for Results - By Nandan Narula
Dear friends, many of you must be waiting for your CA Final results. Even i am waiting very eagerly. Results are just a week away now. It is very obvious that not only those whose results are expected, but even their parents and friends heart beats must have increased. Out of my experience of previous exams results and the way my friends used to handle it, i would just like to share a few tips with you so that you you can live and sleep peacefully for the rest of the week till the results are out.
1. Dont talk to friends which are full of negativities. friends who keep saying that "i cannot pass, i cannot pass" should be avoided.
2. Keep yourself busy.
3. Read some good books this week and keep your spirits high.
4. Spend more time with your family. Your family will always stand by with you in all your good as well as bad times.
5. Enjoy the sun and the sky. As rains have drenched almost every corner of our landmass, venture out and enjoy the beauty of mother nature. take a digicam and get some snaps, share with your friends.
6. Look for old buddies at various social networking sites.
7. Do not be statistician. dont try to calculate the previous pass percentages of the CA Final exams.
8. Stop cursing the institute. Afterall it is ICAI only because of which we are recognized as professionals.
9. And last but not the least, have faith in God.

New RBI Directives - Not to honour cheques with overwriting
The RBI directive to banks, asking them not to honour cheques with overwriting, will come into effect from 1st December instead of the earlier scheduled date of 1st July.
The new rule is intended to prevent fraudulent withdrawal of money and expedite clearance of cheques, the apex bank said in its latest circular.
RBI has advised banks to create awareness among customers about the new norms, which were aimed at preventing fraud, besides expediting clearance of cheques where CTS (Cheque Truncation System) is used.
Under CTS, image of cheque is sent to clearing house for transfer of funds. RBI spokesperson said that the notification regarding cheque truncation system which prohibits alteration will come into effect from 1st December, 2010. There is no mention of 1st July.
The central bank in February had come out with circular on ‘Standardisation and enhancement of security features in cheque forms’ detailing the norms for image-based processing of cheques.
RBI had said that fresh cheques should be issued by customers in case of change in payee’s name or amount (whether in figures or words). Changes, however, could be made with regard to date.
The new norms WILL NOT apply to those cheques, which are cleared by clearing houses that use Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) or non-MICR system.
Also, it added, the norms will not be mandatory for over the counter collection of funds or for direct collection of cheques outside the Clearance House Arrangement.
